Elgin, popularly known as the "City in the Suburbs" is a historically rich city located in Northern Illinois, and roughly 35 miles Northwest of Chicago. Four main faiths of it's residents include Christianity, Catholicism, Islam and Judaism.
Of these four faiths, there is a varying level of adequate worship spaces for it's believers. For Islam, there are a few worship spaces that are almost always repurposed residential or commercial buildings, but nothing that really portrays the Islamic faith in terms of Architecture in the city of Elgin and other surrounding cities.
